Are we going to do the calendar again this year?
If so, how about 2010 shots that aren't a sunset?

I will kick off with one, but there will be more!!!

Grr, I was just about to start a thread on this and I've been beaten to it by His Jimness  :p :D

OK defo no sunsets (well maybe one or two) but in my conversations with peeps about this there was no consensus as to what the "theme" should be, so keeping it free-form seems like a good start.

Is everyone happy with the format from last year? Do you want me to organise the production again? Is the price (around a tenner-ish) ok? Same contribution to charity? Same charity? (local RNLI of some description?)

I made about 200 calendars last year but ended up doing it in several batches. It is far more economical to do just one big batch, so can we try and get everyone's requirements in all in one go? hmm?

Any other suggestions for improvement over last years model?

N

Neil, I am very happy with you doing the organising. I thought to start this so we can get them done in time for Xmas.

I'm in

A couple of standard photos and a couple that I've played with to try and add some variety - High Res versions if needed...

1. Sailing boat on River Blackwater
2. St Katherine's dock at night
3. Barge in Oostende
4 St Katherine's dock - photoshopped with palette knife effect

Hey, Jim, I'm just kidding, I needed a kick in the pants to get started on it so thanks for getting the ball rolling :D

Some great photo's there by the way.

One thing I should say is that I need the biggest, bestest, highest resolution you can get - 5-8Mp is probably ideal. I couldn't print full page some of the super photo's last year because they were too small.

Cheers

Neil

PS I reserve the right to insert at least "one" Saguday pic since I have taken so much stick for not getting out enough

In the (unlikely) event that you want to use this, I'll email the full-size version. S/B 'Greta' near the Red Sand Tower, July 2010.

Finally sorted the rest of mine out. Been meaning to do something with some of these for weeks, in case some of the boats belong to members here.

Everyone must have a pic of Pin Mill

More yachts, Harwich

Yacht on the Deben

I Know Jim said no sunsets but I was quite pleased with these and offer them for consideration.

Geez, I'll have to start making a list.

OK here's some complete self-indulgence, some pics we took this season. Maiden voyages in UK waters on Saguday - bear in mind this was late October and early November:

A great 3-sail reach from Brightlingsea to Tollesbury in November:

And our Pot of Beige at the end of the rainbow - she's probably cost us more than her weight in gold but worth every penny:
