1999 Bavaria Core/glass Bonding Issues?

I intend to purchase a Bav38E...
Has any of your learned persons ever heard of, or experienced any structural issue with Bavaria hulls, 1999 vintage - specifically due to potential core/glass bonding issues?
Information about any other structural/mechanical issues to watch out for would also be welcome.

You might want to track down a recent YM issue that reviewed an ex charter Bavaria of this vintage. I recall it was a favourable review.

Met a UK sailor over here who said he had chartered a new B38, He said that in a modist sea, it twisted and leaked all over the place and he would never buy one.

When I was wondering about selling my Prout and buying a Bav for the Med, I was advised not to in no uncertain terms by the Bav salesman on the stand at SIBS! I didnt.

Are you sure he wasn't talking about his own bodily reaction to a "modist sea"? We all know how mal a mer can affect the grey matter.

Actually, I'm more interested in something definitive - e.g. survey report - rather than hearsay...

I doubt if you will get a surveyor to take one out in "a modest sea ".
