I have had ICCs for over 20 years but I don't remember any great rigmarole. I only have RYA Day Skipper practical and few odds and sods like DSC radio and diesel engine mtce.
Perhaps things have changed, but it probably helps if you are a RYA member or are in an affiliated club or...
It seems The Old Forge reopened today!
Drinks only for the time being but meals planned for later in the month.
Unfortunately for us the email from the Forge only came in late this afternoon as we approached Tobermory, having left Rum in the morning.......
After having read favourable reviews, I was impressed by Savvy Navvy's passage planning performance on both Windows PC and Windows laptop. On the strength of that I purchased the full Android licence. It boots up reasonably well, although slowly, on two Android phones but after that, the...
..... what is a "dumbbell mooring"?
Is a "dumbbell mooring" where the vessel is tied fore and aft to mooring buoys, eg in a tidal river?

Thanks for the comments, folks. As well as having the C80 MFD checked over, I've done all the usual checks plus manual tuning/gain etc, but nothing untoward has shown up. However I have not yet opened the radome to check connections etc.
Once again, thanks for all the comments.
Towards the end of last season the radar image on our Raytheon C80 plotter went to pot, as in the attached pics.
We've since had the C80 checked over by The Service Centre and, although there had been an (apparently) unrelated minor fault, it now seems OK after repair. The radar image remains...
Incidentally, the terrain on the west coast of Norway is not dissimilar, but we had 4G coverage at all times between Stad and Marstein. Very impressed.
Rummaging around in one of the cockpit dookits where we keep sunglasses, wrong-sized anodes, padlocks and bits of string, I was surprised to find a dead thrush.
We'd been out the better part of a week and not noticed it before.....
