    Ocean Lesuire

Ocean World, who did the t-shirts with all the entrants names on for the RTIR, seems to have disappeared. Phone number not in service and web not updated? Are they still trading? Has anyone else taken this useful service over, anybody know?

    Dutch Inland Sea

I am thinking of taking a cruise toward the Dutch Inland sea from the Solent. Any recent experiences, comments etc would be most welcome. Probably late August or September, 36 boat. Advice on any admin issues likely to spoil my day would be most welcome.

    Kiel to Poole

Not I hope to depress or devalue your skills, but many accident reports start "they had to get to" or involve deliveries to a tight time-table. You are expecting too much imho.

Going into space v sailing solo around the world

I think the statistic was number of people who had sailed; "non-stop" round the world, via both great capes, the wrong way (IE against the prevailing winds) was less than the number of men who had walked on the moon or sometimes the number who had gone into space. Now that I can believe.

SIB - What a waste of Time

Went today, free ticket so can't moan too much, but very disappointed. The usual of course, ridiculously over priced food and too many non-boatie stalls. But this year much smaller, just gave the feeling of a show dying on it's feet and the forced march though the RIBs to escape the pontoons...

    Small Loud-hailer?

My Icom VHF, has the capacity to drive a loud-hailer to provide fog signals. Now the logical place to put the speaker is up the mast at the spreaders, but, space is tight. Does anyone know of a source of compact 30W weather-proof loud-hailer speakers? The standard Icom unit is a little on the...

    Liquid Vortex trial starts

What happens in Court is that the proceedings are taped by an automated system. The Judge and counsel keep their own written notes and the tape is only transcribed if there is an appeal and an exact record is required. So in the normal run of things there is never a transcript.

    Liquid Vortex trial starts

The charges are a matter of public record and the Court will tell you if you ask. As to a transcript these have to be ordered from the transcribers and they are not cheap (c. £100/hr last time I paid) you may be asked why you need one and may require permission from the trial judge.

Searush, I am a criminal barrister and i can say without a shadow of a doubt that you have no idea whatsoever what you are talking about.
