If our two week summer holiday onboard was the same trip every year I think we would have given in boating years ago.
Variety is the spice of life.
The Thames may be great, but there are so many other great waterways in the UK and our varied coastline to explore as well.

Chuck some boiling water down the shower drain. It is most probably just full of old soap and crud that needs flushing through. They need to be cleaned out on a regular basis.
Not sure I would call RCR for something around the props!
The OH just gets his arms wet and does it himself. If we called RCR everyone we picked something up they would be following us around with our own personal van :)
Not below Gainsborough bridge. The river swaps from CRT waters to ABP Humber waters with no speed limit.
It's a nice bit of river to open the boat up. Lots of nice tight bends to test your handling skills.
Have to keep a good luck out for slow boats and debris though.

There is a red light that comes on on the control panel in the saloon when the tank is nearing full. The water pump switch needs to be turned on for it to work.
ETA: Ours is a factory fitted tank and pump so I am pretty sure yours should be the same. The red light is on the picture of the boat...
