We have always had great service. In fact, only last weekend, had a superb lobster and crab dinner with an ice cold bottle of Chablis. The staff do change around a bit but that is the nature of the business.
Just bought some hurricane pegs yesterday in Robert Dyas. Used them earlier this year in the Windwards and not one towel or cossi blew away. No metal bits either . £1.79 for 24!

We have a bag of books and charts from when my folks did the trip about 20 years ago. I dont know how much inland waterway charts change over the years, but you are welcome to have them. They are on our boat in Haslar marina at the moment. Give me a pm and perhaps we can sort something out

We have an Ambassador Rope cutter - Stripper- on our Bav 38, sail drive. It has saved us once, knowingly, when we got a large piece of discarded net wrapped around the prop. It has been on a year and works well.

I had mine done last year and my husband went a few months ago. We are both really pleased with the results and it has made such a difference sailing in rough wet weather. I still need glasses for reading in poor light but having worn glasses all my life with a strong prescription for long...
We bought a harness for the outboard,which stays there permanently and have a removable cargo boom/ single davit that we store in locker when not needed. It does make it easier to get from tender to boat but is better with two people but at a push one person could do the whole thing.
