World Exclusive, Boat Never pictured Before!!!!

And what's more. For that sort of money you'd think they'd have installed a proper holding tank.
I think all those Porta Potti buckets on the stern look naff.

Well they could be buckets of sand for their fag ends now that smoking in the work place is banned. They must be heavy smokers to need all those buckets.

i think this Absolute 52 looks damn brilliant

at the contrary to the others here on the forum, i see it more conservative to the other absolute something I personally like
the layout as seen in the plan is brilliant

i think she will be the 15 mtr hard top design to beat in the coming year

what I don't like are the 3 port holes for the forward stateroom and the, empty bit no windows on the side hull

still this is hull no.1 and may be some changes are still on the way

I presume those 3 cylindrical shaped objects about midships are the automatic fendering system, look about the right shape and size.

Now there is an idea! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

alreadt invented by Ilver in 2004 at the Genova Boat Show on there 53 Explorer
but I think few people went for the optional

Not convinced by the three vertical windows. I'll admit that when i looked at the first picture they appeard to have been rather badly Photoshopped on to show where they would be and someone got the angle wrong. Put me with the sceptics for now. Having said thayt, I'll never have that kind of money so will never need to like or dislike:-)

Stunning Craft.

I like the Rear design and coachroof. I like the windscreen and side windows.......but I think it needs more portholes closer to them! Either that or paint some on! Can anyone photoshop some in for a comparison?

Cheers

Not to worry, they look a bit funny cus they still have the protective plastic on them (either blue plastic or white plastic on the big ones), once it is removed you can hardly see the windows except for their outline.

It looks VERY similar to the Sessa 52 but not quite as nice /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I agree the sessa C 52 is a lovely boat and one of the nicest design as what hardtop power yacht of 16 mtr is concerned

but I would consider the Absolute for the following advantages
- IPS Drives very good fuel economy
- patio door
- seperate cabins all on lower cabin deck and galley up solution (also Ilver started with this solution back in 2000 for the 58 Vista flagship)

I love this last solution personally but also with fuel prices always going up the 1st can also be a big consideration

now if Absolute copy or make a more smart design for there port holes...
i think I have an issue with them cause I also did not like the ones on the 56 much...

Agree the Sessa is a super boat and very successful she has been too, next to ourselves they are probably one of the most design led builders out there, hats off to them, wish there were more builders of similar ilk. If I could just add without sounding a bit protective of our own, the C52 does need nearly 50% more power to achieve the same performance and is smaller inside and no third ensuite but of the current crop about as good as it gets, I really like her and have always admired how they were ahead of the game three years ago.

I dont think Sessa where ahead of the game
I think they copied the more expensive Pershing and Azimut S design and made it more friendly, less trendy and with a more competitive price
for e.g. the hard top is a Pershing copy

I also think Gobbi was a big pioneer in the design of the mid range sports cruiser with there 315 SC which was the design evolution followed by the 425 SC and the Atlantis range, someting all of the design of todays new mid sports cruiser are following suite

That is much better.
The Absolute has these pointless hips which will date the design very quickly
Think Hyundai Coupé

i dont think the hips are a pointless design

they have been introduced on the Gobbi 365 SC in 1996 and copied by many builders
but first and foremost copyied by Sunseeker on the 58 Predator back in the day and later introduced in all Camargue and Predator series and as yet today still are part of the design of the Sunseeker boats

I'm not trying to champion sessa (although I do own one) But the Sessa 34/35 and 36/38/40 were out before both the Gobbi's and that design has been carried forward into the current models. The big problem with the Gobbis was the awful interior design and the very basic fitout.

Your out to kill me arnt you /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Hyundai /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif well actually I suppose the coupe at that time was a big step forward and they sold shed loads of them even in the UK, still looks a nice car though, the next series one anyway, if you took the badge off and stuck Alfa or BM on it peoples perception would be different just jack the price up 40% and peeps would think they are buying something special.

er, mind you don't think I am comparing Absolute with Hyundai in brand recognition stakes /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Ugly boat...

I think the Absolute range is beautifully styled and have said so many times on here, but that 52 is a very poor job aesthetically. The sunseeker hips don't look right, especially the angled corner bit right at the front of the hip. And the window shape is poor, with that little angle at the upper aft part of the window. And the 3 master cabin hull windows don't look aligned correctly. It looks particulary bad in the second picture. Urghhh!
