I'm looking for a wooden hull, around 35 to 40 ft, suitable for restoration and re-rigging to a cutter-rigged gaff ketch. Must be long-keel displacement type, ie a good sea boat. Age and general condition of decks and spars immaterial, but hull must be sound, free from rot and capable of restoration without too much work. I live in Kent, but any area considered. Can anyone help?

"Multiple posts on different forums are frowned upon" says BrendanS to my post in two forums. What a load of nonsense, frowned upon by who? Why on earth can people not mind their own business instead and post something useful instead of trying to act as an administrator, which they are not? We are all members and have the same rights, let's please let Kim do his job and keep our noses out of others posts /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Good on ya Davey, hope you find one, that's what these forums are about, there is plenty of space for everyone IMHO /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Watch out he will be on here now, having a go at you to make it fair /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

You'd make a good spin doctor Pete. I asked a question, I didn't make a statement. What you've put in quotes is not what I posted

I've just re-read this, isn't it our business what you write in your posts, after all, you post them on an open forum, aren't we meant to read them and make comments, whether they are constructive or not is our/your business. Keep taking the pills Bruv, the may work.

Me too, just joined the forums, posted two quick informative posts and got slammed immediately as a spammer by the same bloke. Perhaps he enjoys policing this site, like it is his own boat to sink. Think before you speak brendanS, and before you slam other's posts, please investigate them thoroughly.

Informative posts

Lee,

Your 'informative' posts were two identical ones trying to sell boats from Borneo. As interesting as that operation might be, your first two posts immediately contravened forum terms and conditions (they you agreed to when joining) and attracted the ire of several members as a result (not just Brendan).

The threads are now canned and you are asked not to post commercial messages of that kind again.

Kim
