Because they are French, work with Jeanneau and do not give a sh...... once the money is in the bank. After they sold the boat to you you do not exist as a customer unntil you want to buy a new boat again (not so likely I guess). Sad but true for also most of their dealers. I herewith challenge Jeanneau or Benneteau and their repected dealers to prove me wrong and answer MY technical questions as well as my numerous spare part requests.
It used to be said that you get what you pay for ..... then prices and quality divided seriously !!
Many boat businesses have gone to the wall literally trying to do the right thing ! In competition the Frenchies / Belgies arrived with their ptroduction line jobbies, with wiring embedded deep behind inner mouldings, proprietary looms etc. etc. etc.
Pity the poor sod who has to re-wire later.
Of course over the years they have learnt that chainplates should be accessible, mast-supports / keel bolts etc. etc. and somethings have improved .... but I'm afraid that generally quality has suffered to meet the pricing .... hang on a mo ! Shall we correct that to read - maintain the profits !!!!
OK so I'm a traditionalist ... and do not own a French Tupperware pot ....
......is certainly worth a try.
Princess were able to let me have a wiring diagram for my 1973 Princess 32 recently as well as a fuel tank diagram....well impressed I was!

I e-mailed Jeanneau recently for an owner's handbook for my Rush (1981). Received an e-mail reply back in halting English - which was much superior to any French I could attempt - that they would dig one out and pop it in the post if I forwarded my address. I received the handbook complete with rigging tensions and wiring diagram (which I had also asked information on) within the week, with their complements.
I only wanted to know where to get a wiring diagram. If I want to be bored to death by a traditionalist, god forbid, I can think of lots of other places to go besides here thanks.
It's worth asking Beneteau, and if you want to put it into French (to look good) go to http://google.co.uk and use the translation service. It is very good.
You never know, they might have the info that you want.
