Winterising the Fresh water system

Lucky fella so far, sounds like. Dare say that your climate might be less of a risk than others too, perhaps. It’s a must up here anyway.

Not luck - just understanding the issues and acting accordingly. Of course where you are you have a very different local climate, particularly in February/March with the strong NE airflows which persist for days at a time, but rarely come as far south and west as here in Poole, let alone Falmouth.

20+ years ago afloat in Conwy, never bothered draining fresh water until one winter had a tap freeze and burst. IIRC it was a Whale plastic one.
