winterising boat in lockdown I’m getting worried ????

Is one enough on a 32 ftr
It's an Aquador 32c so has a saloon a forward cabin and a midships cabin - the logical (low level) centre point would be the "lobby" at the bottom of the steps so is one enough??
Like all things boat, I'm learning fast and my wallet is going to take a hit!
The "heads" is just to the side of the lobby so I could put it in there in the shower tray if drainage is an issue - typically how much water will it generate in a month??

Thanks all keep the comments coming......................

One should be plenty on a 32 footer. I have been using an eco air dd12 for the last 4 years and it has done a great job in keeping things dry. Mines left in the galley with a small hose running into the sink. In addition I have a 180 watt tube heater in the engine room and a 120 watt tube heater in the salloon.

One dehumidifier is plenty , could deal with a much bigger space.
Depending on weather conditions a couple of litres can be produced in a day.
The Meaco cuts out when a pre set humidity is achieved so doesn't run continuously . I guess they are all the same these days .
I leave mine to fill its tank and it then cuts out . But I can visit the boat every few days (Covid rules permitting).

From the RYA FB page:
Sport England has today confirmed that boaters in England can continue to exercise on the waterways during the current lockdown, so long as you’re doing so:
? on your own
? with the people you live with (your household)
⛵ with your support bubble
?‍♀️ on your own and with one person from another household – this could be a coach for 1:1 coaching.

Well I think that working on my boat counts as ‘exercise on the waterways’ ;)

.
Which implies marinas should stay open.

The mould that requires the extensive and expensive countermeasures such as de humidifiers and tube heaters must obviously be "Pretiosa Marina Fingunt"
curiously only to be found in certain rather exclusive locations.
This malady usually can be recognised by the presence of a card operated security gate at the entrance to any car park.
The only known cure is large amounts of 240 V AC via a shore power cable.

How the rest of the boating world manages to keep their boat interiors sweet and clean is a total mystery , especially before shore power was invented . ? :)

I seem to remember my Mum and Dad who started with GRP boats in the 1960's took all the soft furnishings home and used multiple non power driven dehumidifiers with absorbent beads in them??

Now ashore and managed to get down today and removed sails etc and ready for winter. Had to do it asap as I'm due a new knee on the 21st( lockdown mk2 permitting...) and I'll be unable to do much for about 8 weeks.
Going on Monday (I should be less conspicuous) to do last bits as I have new hip scheduled for 19th and was tied up with a close family funeral until late on Wednesday - if I get fined so be it............. I cant rely on an "unlocked" Christmas as if my hip happens I'll be laid up for 8 weeks as well.
I'll report back..............

I was in a marina on Wednesday and the staff said they thought things would be much different than last time when marine police were patrolling the seas. On a separate note I went down to rescue my child from Uni yesterday. Bristol. basically after seeing and hearing what has happened in Manchester where the students were essentially barricaded in with fencing, just about every kid at a Uni has decided to GTFOOT. And who can blame them frankly. they are paying a fortune for an education they are not getting and being incarcerated for the privilege. Anyway the point I was going to make was that across my journey there and back I saw very little diminution of traffic. Ergo people are done. And with so many people out there is little the Police can do. So i suspect they will focus on the big stuff ie raves etc. And hence the rushed press conference where we had to listen to yet more from our supreme leader.

Last night was our first at -1c of this season, no boat to worry about yet, have earmarked 3 to go look at but if I cant justify a trip home I cannot justify a trip to go look at a pleasure boat, though the one in Italy does sound very tempting after having to scrape the ice off the windscreen of the car this morning.

Grandson and granddaughter are both back from Uni. Granddaughter was in quarantine as she tested positive just before the latest lockdown, her whole halls of residence were locked down and in quarantine, she has now been given the all clear and allowed to travel. It also meant that my wife and I along with our son had to self isolate for 10 days.

Seems like you can go down to your boat for sailing but not for any repairs or maintenance preparatory to that sailing or have I misread the latest confusing statement from Defra ? Anyway more realistically seems like it’s pretty much business as usual at our marina but you just have to remember to order any Chandler items online before you collect from the store or warehouse.

No logic in that . I enjoy doing maintenance so it is recreation .

What I do have doubts about is whether a journey from home to boat is within the regulations. What length of journey is acceptable.?
