Wind Instruments Silva v\'s Raytheon

Does anyone have any experience with either the Silva Nexus Wind Data or Raytheon (Autohelm) ST 60 Wind Instruments.

I've had a Raytheon ST60 on my boat since I bought her last summer. There have been no problems with it so far. I also connected it to my ST4000 wheelpilot and the autotack feature works fine as does the steering to a given angle to the wind.

I have Autohelm ST30 wind instrument. Very unreliable wind direction & speed readings experienced. Bought & fitted new masthead unit but problem remains. Wish I knew where the problem is likely to be.

Have a look at the Simrad IS15 wind. Has an NMEA port as well and work out magnetic wind direction with GPS input
