How many of you out there are married to a chick who loves sailing? And of those who are married to chicks who love sailing, how many of you have kids and still sail?
And how many of you use a hydrovane?
And how many of you drink Pimms?

not sure how those questions connect /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

another question that would be interesting to ask is what proportion of first wives like sailing and what proportion of 2nd and subsequent.

of the few men i know who have keen sailing partners, they are all 2nd or 3rd time around.

By the time they get to 2nd or 3rd time, I think the priorities may have changed somewhat, hence the increase in keen sailing partners ! !

(as long as my {first} wife doesn't read this)

You wont see any of these guys out on the water. They bolt their boats to the pontoon. Their keyboards are bigger than their boats. They dont have wives never mind 2nd or 3rd. I thought that the word chick was limited to dumb ass south africans or was that cherry.

Isn't it generally true that men can (and do) get more obsessive about things than women. So it seems that the wife, partner, girlfriend, mistress, etc has gone off sailing when in fact it's you that has become totally obsessed.

Allo CodStewart

Love your posts their so meaningful
My good lady chick don`t love sailing, she don’t mind the boat wobbling about but she don’t like it leaning over, so I have to have a Power boat for her and go sailing with my friends.
I used to have a hydrovane years ago but haven’t used one since I came out of the Andrew.
I sometimes drink Pimms but only because the bottle makes a lovely table lamp.

Nice talking to you. Sianorra

Sexist? Not really - how many women you know mad about boats and their partners not so interested?
Just one of those things. Horses are the opposite.
(Er horses for courses?)

Hi!

My Wife and I love to sail (She's just passed her day skipper).
The kids love sailing.
No idea what a Hydrovane is.
And isn't it always Pimm's Oclock? - Pimms is dangerous for me as I tend to fall asleep when I have it so it's administered only on sunny days in the garden where I can burn to a crisp non the wiser.
