If this has already been answered my apologies, but it seems like a strange ommission given they have produced some great baots of over the years in good volumes.

I particularly like the Pretorien.

Any thoughts?....

Jeff, any chance of your sending me a scan or transcript of what was said of the Centurion 32?

Many popular boats were missed ...

... I was very surprised by the omission of the X-99 in the current issue, surely one of the most popular cruiser-racers of all time, with several thousand built.

There is almost nothing either on some of the most popular US marques, unless they had a major sales pitch in the UK.

Presumably the series rests on JJ's own reviewing experience. And despite the gaps, this has to be the most comprehensive guide to yachts commonly available in Britain, an excellent project. I bet he's glad its finished, though - now might not be the best time to be asking for more!

Great, thanks! Not seen any at these prices though! Nevertheless, one day, soon...

I think that there is one for sale in Hamble Point, but I hear they want quite a bit for it. Haven't seen it myself.

Regards, Jeff.

Re: Many popular boats were missed ...

Agreed with your final paragraph. A suitable case for publication as a book, do you think?

Yes, I've heard of that one: outrageous price!. Plus, there's one in N. Ireland, but it's too far for me. Pity. And there's a couple in the Med, which I may tackle if I sort out my present boat in time.

Are there any past or present Pretorien owners out there? All the feedback from American owners seesm good but would be interested in any further info re: points of weakness etc. Also performance it seems they need a 150% Genoa to get moving in less than 10 knots.

thanks
MM
