The Digital Yacht one seems good quality, but i'd prefer to have separate antennas. You also have a backup VHF antenna then.
Much more range with a masthead aerial though. It is what Salty John recommends.
They all seem very expensive, but I gather the Vesper also boosts incoming signals from both sources, which can't be a bad thing?

But don't use the Glomex one with an AIS transponder.Fitted a Glomex last year. https://www.force4.co.uk/glomex-vhf-ais-am-fm-radio-splitter.html
It’s been fine. TBH not much difference from a push pit aerial. https://seamarknunn.com/acatalog/Sh...Stub-Antenna-HA156C-AIS-SM818_HA156C_AIS.html
They both show up any transmitting vessel in a range of 16 miles or more and I doubt I’ll need to see them any sooner than that.
