Which ropes?

My daughter is doing a GCSE DT project which involves producing a point of sale display and information board for marine ropes. She needs to know what types of ropes are prefered for different uses ie. sheets, warps, halyards, etc. opinions on colour coding and any other information that will help her produce an attractive and informative display. Anyone in the trade got any info on comparative sales volume for different types in order that she can compile stocking advice etc?

If you contact English Braids in Malvern (01684 892222) and speak to sales, explain to them what you want and I am sure they will supply a set of ropes and brochures etc free. They have always been good to me and should be your best bet.
