My old continuous line Hood LD gear is at the end of it's days. (Aluminium drum cracked) but although it was suppossed to be (according to at least three riggers) too small for my 40ft boat it has done sterling service over the 20,000 miles I have put under the keel. I like the simplicity of it.
Suggestions for it's replacement would be most welcome.

Harken produce the best furler by a considerable margin and their prices reflect this.

Mid-range Furlex & Hood.

Slightly lower down but cheaper Rotostay, Sailspar.

really cheap and good for play Plastimo.

I've got Rotostay, but designed for a 36' on a 31' boat.
