The link is to copper coated aluminium cable.

Is that suitable for the marine environment?

Aluminium has much higher electrical resistance that copper ... Won't that mean larger diameter cable will be required?

Indeed Vic, the resistance of ali cabling is about a factor of 1.6 that of copper not to mention stress fatigue levels and lower corrosion resistance.

I never even realized there was such a thing. I bought some for the Amp installation in my car.
I have no idea as to its suitability for use in a marine environment.

I used:

A2F050L100 WELDING CABLE PVC COATED COPPER 50MM SQ (PER METER)

19metres @ £ 3.89 = £ 73.91 from Rapid Welding

Worked well for me.
