Went over to Cowes today - flat calm, like a mirror.

One other Motor Boat - five sailers under power (hee hee) and a couple of fishermen.

Brilliant day to have a power boat on the water.

But where was everyone else?

Fuel coming down again it seems 34p on IOW.

Saw a few mobo's out in the Solent this afternoon, half a dozen raggies going nowhere fast, definately flat calm, even waved to a raggie and he waved back.

It is indeed lovely weather for a motor boat, I have been alternating between painting (Blakes Deckpaint goes off nicely, even at 10oC) and cruising around The Goodwins. You may not have seen me from your vantage point in the Solent, but I did wave.

Was out Sunday morning and only saw one other Mobo. As Mike 21 says even the raggies waved, mind you they had nothing else to do! Only had limited time so ambled around Southampton water. Still very pleasant and surprinsingly mild although no doubt Arthur Wood will tell us just how cold it really is.

Are you sure they were not waving their fists - my wake looked quite big in the calm conditions - normally the sea/swell knocks it out quite smartish.

The raggies I saw had no sails hoisted (ie no stability) and were rolling like good uns....even when passing at a good distance
