Sorry V, must admit that it was a bit of a stretch from my part to say that the Duetto was in two pics...P, you mean these two pics? Top one doesn't look like (what I know at least as!) a duetto
One is indeed the first of the two pics you linked - it's the black car in the top right corner, visible in the mirror.
The other pic where you can (barely, and also in the mirror) see the same car again is the one with the "Disco Volante" in foreground.
Anyway, if by "what I know at least as" you meant that you have in mind the first generation of the Duetto - i.e. the one that Dustin Hoffman drove in The Graduate, nope, that's not the black one in the above pics.
That's in fact one of the latest (4th) generation, whilst the first gen is the one that was also known as "osso di seppia" (cuttlebone), due to its rounded and thin tail shape.
Maybe that's the one you meant as Duetto?
Otoh, afaik that nickname ("Spider" being the official name) applied to all versions, through almost 30 years of production!
Regardless, sorry to hear that your time is absorbed also by mechanical problems of the X3, as if the boat wouldn't be demanding enough...
...though at least the boat is worth it, as opposed to the German junk!
