Where can I get genuine 19mm tube?

Bit of a practical boat owner question but I'm trying to buy genuine 19mm (3/4 inch) clear tubing. Yep people sell it (like ASAP-supplies) but it's really 20mm and will only grip a 3/4 inch tail end with jubilee clips really screwed down. Doesn't seem a good engineering solution especially when a leak could sink my boat.

hmm. I extrude plastics and understand your problem. You could try to contact a plastic tube extruder and ask if he could make a bit at 19mm???

Failing that RS components stock loads of tubing products.
Use industrial sources rather than marine or consumer outlets for genuine imperial tubing.
Imperial tube is still widely used in agriculture (milking sheds etc), you could try an agricultural supplier.

Like steverow ses try industial bods also try www.aquafax.co.uk remembered them when thinking about tcm,s pump query 9 times out of 10 I end up down the local motor factors rather than the swindlerey

It's a better engineering solution if you heat the tube as you tighten the jubilee clips, eg a hairdrier on max

I spoke to a helpful guy called Adrian and he has the right stuff in stock but he suggested trying a garden centre first because they may use it for garden fountains etc. Adrian will never make a fortune (perhaps he already has!) but he will sleep easy at night.
