mix it with the rest in your car, and you will hardly notice any difference (provided you fill the tank up as well) - saves wasting it

Always assuming your car uses petrol /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

It can't go in the car as its diesel and the reason for dumping it has outboard oil in it from last year.

Now where is that institution????

I did wonder but I quote from PBO

"12 weeks is the recommended maximum - after this, bacteria starts to form around filters, and it begins to gel. Every year owners try to run their motors on last years fuel, with inevitable consequences"

From page 19 of "Your top 100 questions answered"

I'll go ahead and stick it in the tank then

He's got a diesel car richardhead! That's why he can't bung it in his tank, well axshully he would probably get away with that as long as the tank was full of diesel, but then you probably no that.

Knowing my luck I would tip it into the car tank and the engine would go bang and then they would hold a major investigation and present me with a massive bill.

I'll stick in the outboard......

Poor it in the water next to someone elses boat and tell him you saw being pumped out when his bilge pump came on.
Always good for a laugh that one. Harbour master never laughs though, miserable sod.

Alternatively, give it to my SWMBO.

Weekend before last, we divided labour. I hosed the boat down, whilst she was sposed to light the barbie.

As it turns out, she failed to find the lighter cubes, tried bits of "kindling" (dead bamboo), then newspaper, then some paraffin, and finally some stuff from the "green can in the garage".

I dropped what I was carrying.

"You put unleaded on a partially lit BBQ??????"

She admitted that it did go whoomph, and I have to say that the BBQ was going nicely at that point. I gave her a lecture on the explosive potential of the stuff in the green can and the evening went downhill from there.

I have now locked the garage and hidden the key.

Add some Soltron double dose and run the outboard on it.
