Stumbled across this while looking for something else.....
We needed a hull repair recently. Certainly not our fault!!.
The yacht is kept in Greece.
The engineer that was recommended (Johnny) does warranty work for the major Brands, and also does work/repairs for the local charter operators, and so has experience on most of the brands talked about here.
His feedback was very direct and unambiguous.
In his wide experience, the Bavarias are better built and easier/better to work on than the alternatives.
Thats hull/deck/interiors/access/delams/cracks/backing plates etcetc.
They are GL for a reason, and deserve it.
I completely understand and respect all our individual views on looks / brand allegiance / perceived performance / practicality / layout etc.
But on build quality, it is difficult to argue that any of the major brands are better built.
It would be interesting to see/hear views from marine engineers / damage estimators on here.
