Bundy Bundy Bundaberg rum
Put hair on your chest
And hair on your bum

Sorry, I can't remember the other 6 verses, but the rum is bloody good.

Warning, consuming too much Bundy may send you deaf in one ear,
Because it’s against the deck….

Oldgit,

I think we have to meet. I feel, not literally of course, a kindred 'spirit' by the tenor of your response.

Anything that does not send you blind, deaf or stupid is a good tipple! For prefence I drink anything you don't have to strain, going in that is, not out!

What's all this 'oh gawd' business????

In summer, I like cider and in winter draught Guinness is my choice.
Spirits I avoid as they play havoc with my insides and (apparently) make me talk shite.

Talking about 'on the rocks' have this nice new passage I use to the North of Herm which I think I will take you through the next time you are over. If you thought the last lot were scary these route is a real sh** bricker ;-)

Known to the locals as the rivers.

Let me perfect it first tho, wouldnt want any more eventualities with your boat now would we?

Dom

I am boating again ;-)

Seen it, I think. Having passed it going up the Little Russel last week, I'd advise anyone with any sense to stay the hell away. I wouldn't attempt it in a helicopter.

Re:Bundaberg

Oldsaltoz, your post brought back memories of years ago when a mate and I drove from Sydney to past Cairns. We could smell the sugarcane and rum on the air long before we came round the bend an saw the Bundaberg rum works. We just had to stop at the next pub and try it. It's hard to recall but I think we must have had more than a few. ---Good Stuff!

Re:Bundaberg

G'day Chippie,
Sounds like you were headed for Port Douglas. Great drop that Bundy Rum a. came back from there (Port Douglas) about a month ago, looking at another hole in the water.
I suspect they make the Bundaberg Rum bottles square to prevent them rolling around in the bilge, very thoughtful of them.

Re:Boozing down under

Couple of years ago a few of us visited the Crown Brewery outside Brisbane and were invited to drink as much as we wanted over a 2-hour timespan. They had quite a selection of local beers and some spirits. Towards the end of the 2 hours they all started tasting the same - wonderful!. Thats about all I remember ...

God bless Aussie hospitality
