What's that up there?

Does anyone know what's the use or point of the four blades (??) up top[ on this boat?

She greatly resembles the mid to late 1970's, Asian built hire boats. The main problem we saw, in the later years, besides the osmosis, was the decks and cabin roof or flybridge sole, would rot and become spongey to walk on. They were made with a cheap ply with glass either side.

The only way out was a major rebuild, some as extensive as gutting the boat back to a bare hull and starting again.

I'm not surprised it rocks around - looks very top heavy for it's size. Any breeze must play havic for a boat that has that much windage as well!

Ahh Yes!!! That's Little Ship at anchor in Caernarfon being prepared for the North Wales Mob invasion. The new extract fan on the roof should reduce the effects produced by the woodies and the doggies etc.

Hmmm......... Looks like Lambada has just picked a fight

And you too Philiz, just wait until she leans against your frozen snot boats.

That boat has been arround for some time, it has had a name change though. It's previous name was, where it looks like it has been, "Uranus".

Clearly this is a poor example of these craft, and no doubt ongoing maintenance, with issues already discussed, including the wooden window frames, is something to be factored.

Some of our similar local vessels, once sorted, have made good lake and river cruisers. In fact have completed quite long (500 mile) coastal and offshore delivery trips. The worst problems have been stirred up gunk in the fuel tanks, once they hit offshore conditions.
