Does anyone know what's the use or point of the four blades (??) up top[ on this boat?

It's clearly a modified version of the original snurble-grip-thibbley (the stainless 316 version) with the very rare optional gull deterrent and mincer.

You can be forgiven for not recognising it, as it has been moved to the stowage position while the axle is still vertical. Some people will never learn about resting strain on bearings, will they !

Is the boat on the thames in chiswick?

Swmbo and I had a look at one when we where boatless, dreadfull boat and to top it all up they did not have a bottle opner to open a bottle of wine whicg was offered?

we got away shrpish after we had to have a sea (river) trial with a skipper that did not know what he was doing..

Reach, been there years and yes its to keep the birds off but that's the least of his worries!

However there are a few about on the upper reaches and they do a very good job.

dont bother, really bad condition !

The owner does not have a clue.

Swmbo wanted a small boat but this one has really put her off small boats, when you get on flybridge the boat rocks from side to side, it is very small and poky !

I would not give 30k for this ! Maybe 10k?

They are a lot

Many thanks for the responses, every day is a school day, as they say.

I came across the boat here

of boat for the size, there are a couple on the Thames a friend had a similar one that if I am honest looked better!

But if it can be bought at a reasonable price then as I said its a lot of boat for the size.

She has been moored midstream for as long as I can remember and I don't think I have ever seen her move!

Naturally a good survery will give you the answers you are looking for..

we used to have a Mainship 40 which very very soild boat and felt safe, this 30 footer did not even feel safe on the river, It depends why you would want a trawler boat? we wanted comfort !

I had a 25 footer that was more cofortable and better built, maybe a flybridge on a 30 footer is a bit of a gimmick?

That looks better , lower flybridge but also importanet how you feel once on top or down below ! it is no good having a nice looking boat if you do not enjoy being on board?

Ahh Yes!!! That's Little Ship at anchor in Caernarfon being prepared for the North Wales Mob invasion. The new extract fan on the roof should reduce the effects produced by the woodies and the doggies etc.
