What\'s a Peep?

You'll have to forgive a weathered old bit of technologically challenged flotsam, not up with all these terms.

But I have exercised my tired grey matter and thought of several possibilities within the context that it is referred to:

People?
Nosey people?
Punters?
Wallies?
Annoying little boaty people?


I even did a google search and it said 'cute little fluffy chick' ..that just threw me completely.

Still confuzzled.

Anyone?

erm, peeps is just "people". i think it's from harry enfield's greek Stavros character of the eighties, who said peeps instead of people.

ahhh I see, (through foggy Raybans) -well that explains it - the 80's are a distant and very hazy blur to me.

Where I grew up a 'Peep' was the same as a 'Keek'.
