What is your snubber - and why

Well, slather my snubbers in curdled goosefat!

I was really declaiming the £24.99 to indulge 'Cap'n Fatty' in his witterings.

No! But I did a double take when I saw that price. I got mine on Kindle.
 
Thank you to those that posted to the thread. Sadly I did not get the answers that I had hoped. I suspect that snubber usage in the UK is similar to Oz - many don't use a snubber at all (though it is difficult to see if the snubber is all on deck). Maybe people use a chain lock or something similar (or reply on the windlass). Some here do use short snubbers, to take the load off the windlass and stop the chain rattling or grinding on the bow roller - but few use long snubbers (or bridles) - maybe because their yachts are not frisky or they use chain heavier than might be recommended - or they only anchor overnight in benign conditions.

No wonder people find the topic boring - but what drives people to read threads they find boring is almost more interesting than the thread :)

But in any event - again thanks to those that responded.
