What is the purpose of 2 shore power cables.

The electrical regulations state all 230 volt sockets ie blue on the same pedestal must be the same phase , all red are 3Phase , but very rare in uk mainly for super yachts or commercial fleet. There will be no boats with two plugs that are connected on board. It’s just a what if idea, and if some dick did this they would pay the price.

Is the electricity included in the berthing fee...or is it metered separately ?
There certainly comes a point where access to the boat is compromised by these cables and chargers

It’s metered separately .Before you leave ( at the desk ) they send a guy round to read who radios it to the petty lady , she then calculates your final bill .

Being a total nerd I couldn't help but looking at how the superyachts in Monaco were plugged in yesterday (much to my gf's annoyance)

In this photo you can see three phase and earth powerlocks being fed into a converter box which is changing it into 2 x 125A three phase and earth ceeform style sockets.

As you have admitted to being a nerd, I hope you won't mind me pointing put the the ones you say are Ceeform are in fact Marechal, not Ceeform. That's a pair of Marechal DS9s, 150 amps per phase not 125. These are what I use in Antibes.

I also wondered where that spot is, because Loano it ain't for good.
Half reminded me of Fointvieille, but I don't think it really is - and even less so Port Hercule.
But happy to stand corrected, aware as I am that you're much more familiar with the place than myself.
Not to mention that my memory is getting worse by the day...

Regardless, I hope PF won't mind if I point out that, in my understanding, using anything but a flag pole is a no-no regardless of whether the courtesy flag is correct or not...

If you look carefully they were setting up the paddock for the classic GP .Twas a good week .Cars turned out we’re more interesting than the boats if i am honest . No one seems to give a 8hit about flags in this town btw FWIW ?? As you can clearly see.

Nice berth for watching the Historique - close to the pits/prep area zone. The Azimut 46 is Monaco flagged so doesn't need/should not have any courtesy flag. From your pics I can't see the situ on the other nearby boats. Mr Green's Malta reg ship is flying the correct flag.

If I agree with you we would both be wrong.

#3 was the correct answer. There is also a "Transfer" switch on the main panel which allows you to power both hulls with only one shore cable connected - I assume it wouldn't be possible to run air-con both sides with it connected this way but I haven't tried it.
