So those who know me know I like to pick up an old boat and make her seaworthy again. My 3rd project is a semi-sunk Corribie MK2 which I picked up after someone had tried to change the seacocks on their drying mooring and failed. Think incoming tide and hull full of water. They did clean her up after and out a new (to them) 2 stroke engine one her.
Anyway, a couple of K to buy. £6k to refit + about 39 days of labour and £2k of optional electronics to play with and I have a pocket cruiser ready to go anywhere.
In which, today, I had one of the best days sailing I’ve ever had. Against wind and tide (for 2 hours before it turned) from Yarmouth to Cowes. It was delightful a brilliant.
