Yes, duff bit of terminology. But I wonder whether lenses really match up to the number of pixels. Not to mention our ability to focus accurately. Thought cropped up with the "PhaseOne" 50Mp camera that was on The Gadget Show yesterday...

For an iphone I'll echo the Lifeproof endorsements - I've had one for 3 years. I wouldn't go diving with it, but happily take snaps at the bottom of the pool.

One characteristic of the Lifeproof is that you don't want to be taking the phone in and out of it a lot - doing so would clearly reduce its operational life. My phone lives in it all the time.
