Speaking personally, no immediate plans to have four children, hence no requirement for tri-cab. It's meant to be a pleasure boat (think big beds), not a ferry /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Twist the Bonsai tree in the saloon, and the sofa converts into another bed. Alternatively, if they've been bad, a sleeping bag in the engine compartment normally prevents repeat offences.
My feelings exactly (apart from the Sealine owner -part /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif)
I've often looked at the ultra contemporary interior designs of new boats and thought that they look too much ikea and not enough boat.
I'd like the boat interior to look like, well, boat interior and not a design office. Even the odd squeak of teak under the foot would reinforce the feeling of being on a boat. All down to personal taste, ofcourse, but that's how i see it.
Ok, there are some squeaks on a Sealine /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Agree with you entirely. This is a stupid design for a 47 footer which really should have a 3rd cabin at least as an option, especially since I guess this is an IPS boat and therefore should have space for it. But the other stupid thing is that the guest cabin has a double berth. How many kids above, say, 7 yrs old are happy to share a bed with each other and it's going to be a bit tricky to go away for a boys weekend on the boat when you tell them 2 have got to share a berth. So, basically this is a boat for a couple without kids who only have cohabiting friends. That limits it's market somewhat. Doubly irritating because I said exactly the same thing to their market research people

There speaks the voice of a man who has clearly never tried to explain to a teenage girl that she's expected to share a double bed with her teenage brother...
I imagine if this is a walk through, there will be other options to consider. I dare say that the option of twin beds for the fwd cabin wouldn't be too difficult to offer.
I suppose until there's a definitive release spec, none of us really know!
