HI!
I have old wooden boat with VP MD2. One day impeller broke into bits, got into exhaust manifold and everywhere else, so I took apart all cooling system( sea water only) and cleaned it. Now the problem is that at low rpm it is cooling allright( even better than previously), but when I go faster water is disappearing. Even when engine is cold, going at hi rpm (don't have a tachometer, but even at previous cruising speed), water is disappearing. Starting from impeller there is only hot steam in system. At low rpm I can go arond hours, all is ok. Doesn't change if thermostat is in or out.
