Hi Everyone…….I wonder if some of you Volvo experts could tell me where the oil pressure sensor is located on a D3 220?
The boat has just gone back in the water and I was doing a little test run on Saturday.
Running the engines at various speeds (1600, 2200, 3150, and finally 3600rpm) for 10 mins each whilst cross checking
readings between the port and stbd engines for temp/oil pressure/turbo pressures every 2/3 mins.
All was going fine with readings for both engines closely matching……until suddenly Port Engine low oil pressure alarm
came on!
Stopped the engine, no oil in the bilge, no smoke, smell, or extra heat.
Back to the harbour on one engine, oil level correct, and oil clean and sweet (it had just been changed).
Engines 2013 and 220 hrs.
Look forward to your advice.
Thanks John
