We are taking Rafiki to Poole first weekend in May for the Bournemouth Gin Fesival ?. We aim to get a taxi to the Festival. So I'm looking for recommendations please?
Thanks for your suggestions. Should be a great weekend.
Agree with the Quay Haven as the best if you're taking a berth but if you want a mooring surely it's about where the mooring is - some of the Haven's moorings are over by the Wych Channel.
A taxi to Bournemouth and back will be pricey, just to warn you..We are taking Rafiki to Poole first weekend in May for the Bournemouth Gin Fesival . We aim to get a taxi to the Festival. So I'm looking for recommendations please?
agree with the above re Poole Quay Boathaven as the best bet for convenience to the town etc.
& it would be nice to meet up with fellow Azimuteers if time allows.

The weather forecasters must have a difficult job on these last few days. Speaking to work colleagues yesterday it was apparent that within a 60 mile radius we all had different weather. Makes boat planning very frustrating!
Unfortunately, my plans for the coming weekend look to be going down the heads, unless there is a dramatic upturn in the weather. Strong winds are forecast for Friday and the weekend, and we want the trip to be fun, not a mission. Unless we get a significant improvement, Poole will have to wait for another day. Shame!
It will delay us, but not stop us Phil. We need to get to Poole to see your new boatRotten luck, we had the same this weekend, tried quite hard to get round the windy corner so we could scoot down weather to Weymouth, but gave up before we even got to Swanage and settled for two days exploring our home town again.
