Just got a new phone and I can't get it to pair with the smart solar controller.

Trying to pair via the app and used '0000'; '1234'; '123456' and '000000'.

Any ideas what the number could be? Nothing on the side of the box.....

The default password was previously always 000000 (six zeros), but lately I believe they have used individual random numbers on some products. This number should be on a sticker on the side of the controller.

Ok. I'll have another look. Details still available via the app on my tablet, but was handy in the phone.

I would advise not using default passwords, such as 000000 Anyone could connect to your controller and change settings, for instance, set the charging for 24v on a 12v system.
Agree with this, I use default when setting up system to keep it easy and then change all when ready to operate, at least victron include spare stickers in box with codes on, the times I’ve fitted the unit, then powered up and cannot ge5 to read the password now they are sending out with unique codes

When I set up the Victron kit on my last boat, I inadvertently set my neighbours BMV up for my battery bank. He had left his with a default name and password ... I renamed it, set a password, and set a new battery bank size before I realised. I did tell him but it is easily done.

Something I'll have to get round to for both my MPPT and battery charger. Easy to do?

Hehehe I've been tempted more than once by my many neighbouring boats with default passwords.

I'll refrain from saying that there would have been a good chance your boat went up in flames too if you didn't know what you were doing.
