My MoBo .. Primor 24 .... has a split compartment arrangement under the rear half of cockpit area.

A narrow storage locker either side of the large engine box.

These side lockers ...

stbd - has the Trim Tab hydraulic pump ,... stainless steel fuel tank 100lt ... Victron Smart Dual charger ..... engine box blower fan ...... and stays reasonably dry.
port - has only the other 100lt stainless fuel tank and the two battery isolation switches. This locker slowly accumulates water ...

The transom has the trim tabs mounted and the hydraulic lines go through the transom bulkhead to each... the port side has a swim ladder mounted as well.

The outdrive leg is through the centre of transom via the engine box and so far stays reasonably dry.

Both side lockers are where I had repairs made to the outer hull .... due to cracks that had appeared - believed caused by previous owner swapping out the lighter 4cyl AQ130 for the significantly heavier 6cyl AQ170.... along with 280 outdrive.
As far as we can tell - those repairs are still good ... so where is water coming from. FW tank is in the bow area and never used.

We have suspicion that the swim ladder mounting bolts may be the reason ... but its difficult to check ... access is a real pain ... difficult to throw talcum powder back there etc. Looking like we shall be unbolting and then rebedding once she's ashore ... AND checking the hull repairs of course.

Have you an endoscope ? They are pretty cheap nowadays and gives you eyes in tight spaces. If you can get an arm in there, just put your smartphone on record and wave it around

No good tasting it ... boat on the river .... water is near fresh ... some summer houses take water from the river for domestic ... (not me !! )

Endoscope ... yes I do have one with also bendy cable ...

Will wait for lift out ....

Still worth tasting…if it’s salty…the leak is probably coming from your kitchen pantry

Say what you mean…Salt or Fresh or Sewage ?
Just lets say all three of those just might have come into play on present boat.
Mysterious saucepan quantities in all bilge(s) and not apparently from the usual suspects and water all to obvious present in bilge under poo tank.
Much dismantling and head scratching for ages and ages with no hint of source , everything from crack around bow thruster tunnel to leaking flybridge drains, shower/bog leaks considered and dismissed.
The finger taste test eliminated 50% of possibilities. :)

Def "fresh" ? water and not from poo tank either.
Much much later found a damp patch underneath the Calorifier, "Yup" it had at sometime split and water was weeping out from the casing and spreading throughout all bilges via limber holes.
The calorifier was of course hidden away in a impossible to get at corner with at least two other bits of kit ,including eberspacher , needing removal to even see the blimming thing.

My Snapdragon 23 had a Cruiser Chemi-loo ... copy of the camping job ...

3 of us on board --- sailing Solent ... noted water in cabin ... boat was triple keel so it only had a shallow bilge ..

Guy goes in says - I'll find out from where ... takes a taste of it ... UGH .. tastes like shi* ....

Yep - Chemi-loo had decided to spread its load ...

Last time that was ever used on that boat ...
