I need to update my vhf certificate. Any recommendations for reasonably priced courses near Portsmouth?

We run them regularly - click on the signiture below and go to course dates on our web site. Next course with space is 27th March which is a Thursday or 6th April which is a Sunday.

Even if you can find David's 'signiture' (?) you need go no further than the Portsmouth Outdoor Centre on Eastern Road - just Google their website.
From my experience both cheap and well run.

Why bother with a course. All you need are the RYA booklets:
G26, which describes the syllabus and includes sample questions £3.70 (£3.33 to members)
G22, which tells you everything you need to know £5.50 (£4.95 to members)
Perhaps instead of G22 the recent addition to the range of RYA offerings G31, The RYA VHF Handbook by Tim Bartlett , £11.99 (£10.79 to members) which hopefully covers it all with a little more detail.
also maybe ZV03, VHF Companion by Sara Hopkinson £7.95 (£7.15), Splashproof reference cards to keep on board.
