VHF - Engineer - Chichester

I have a sick ICOM VHF and need an engineer to have a look at it.

However, while I know it is a bad idea to have kit go down at this time of year I am struggling to find anyone interested in the work.

Anyone got any ideas?

Unless the radio is something special.... I'd be tempted to buy a new one..... the cost of call out and any repair is going to be dam close to a new one.

I'd lob it back to Icom first, I've had them replace 10 year old kit for no charge in the past.

One way to probably get a good repair but at more competitive pries is to use someone specialising in amateur radio repairs.
Yachtsmen are thought to have lots of money, so many things boaty are priced accordingly.
