VHF DSC Training

Hi

I have spoken to the Hon Sec of my sailing club in Cambridge.
He thinks that we may be able to use the Club House.
I have sent him an e-mail request and he will check with the committee on Friday.
I have asked for a date in Early August.
He has indicated that if the committee is happy the a Saturday would be best.
There may be 1 or 2 club members who would be interested in attending.

Al
Could I suggest the 9th August?
How is this with you?

Looks like we can do the 9th August will confirm tomorrow, Is The club at Cambridge available?

All those wishing to do the course please PM with e-mail addresses.

Cost will be £70:00 per head if we can get ten people.

Al.
Excuse the blatant advertising guys!!

Not sure we can manage the date, but PM sent anyway.
Al, I don't think anyone on the East coast forum is worried about the advertising when you have already been mentioned, so don't worry mate.
I'll be looking in the direction of EastCoastBernie when I can afford relevant sweat shirts and hats, quite like the idea of keeping things between mates.

I will not be able to confirm the Sailing Club as a venue until the weekend as the Club Committee meeting is not until Friday evening.
I do not think that there will be a problem with it.

I will let the club know that there are some spaces available and the cost.

9th August is not cast in stone as far as I am concerned.
The only weekend to avoid as far as the club is concerned on the bank holiday one.

What is the cost implications of there being less than 10 wanting the course?

Nice one Clive!

The date can be changed, sooner rather than later though please, got to get the instructor sorted, he is expecting the 9th at present but can change.

The only problem with not getting ten would be an increase in cost per head by £5:00-ish no more than that though. The course WILL NOT BE MORE THAN £75:00.

Need to confirm how many Lap tops we have between us all.

Speak soon.

Al.

Don't forget your passports, your VAT paid proof, your insurance and your ICC. Remember only to take white diesel in cans, file your passage plan with the Coastguard, check your liferaft, flares, EPIRB, radar, satphone, watermaker ...

Best take a pilot with you too... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
