Ah, but under the e-commerce directive, an acceptance is now taken to be legally when a confirmation is 'readable' by the purchaser, eg an e-mail exists on their PC or mail server.
The only realistic get out they have is under much older consumer law with the Hartog defence, where an offer is clearly a mistake, but I don't think that has been tested in court for an electronic transaction?
Couldn't resist. Particularly like this from their terms & conditions:
Price Guarantee
We shall remain bound by the prices listed until 30.06.2008. Thereafter we reserve the right to make price changes. If there is a price increase of more than 10% we shall contact you. With some items of electronic equipment it may be necessary to adjust our prices upwards or downwards due to extreme fluctuations in the exchange rate or other economic developments. The price that applies will be the current price on the day of receipt of the order: this will be shown in our order confirmation. In all such cases of a change in price the contract will only become valid if you accept the order confirmation, either verbally or in writing. All our prices include VAT at the current rate (17.5 %). If this rate changes we shall adjust our prices accordingly.

Yep, any boat with a wheel built into the keel has to be perfect for the East Coast... wouldn't fancy going down Black Deep in it though... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
