A lot worse on the early ones, as there were some pretty massive decelerations when they came off the foils.I wonder what the ride is like on a foiler compared to older generation boats. Sea state being of course a variable.
Might even be less bone crunching than a normal planing hull.
The latest foilers have been optimising towards staying on the foils and not allowing them to aerate and dump the boat back in the water, rather than pure maximum speed. So they do say the ride is a bit better.
Quite a few of them have flipped the nav station to be aft facing because of the decelerations though...
