There have been reports of unexploded ordnance found in this popular anchorage. Not many details as yet, or any confirmation of what has been found, but parts of the bay have been cordoned off awaiting the arrival of Bomb Squad officers.
Not something you would want to drop an anchor on!

This is a common occurrence in the Thames estuary as they are often reported by a local bait digger at low water. His spade has yet to detonate one.........
