Under mattress condensation mesh

How do you get on if there is a couple of locker lids immediately under the mattress that you need to access often?
same question applies to systems with made up slats as well I suppose.

Or you screw the slats to the boards like this

I only have fuel tank & filters access under the aft cabin bunk so was planning to cut a flap in the mesh to match the access hatches

If you want the cheap option, buy a couple of packs of loft pipe insulation, cut them to lengths across the length of the bunk, then cut short lengths to hold the cross lengths apart. String it all together (through the diameter of the cross lengths and through the hole down the middle of the short lengths.
Acts as air gap, easy to lift and is soft to sleep on.

Just glue the halves to the bunk base & cut where the locker lids come. Saves all the faff of moving floating bits around plus bits of string

the Froli system enables you to fix the pieces to the locker lid. We simply lift the mattress and the lid to access the locker. The rest of the systeem remains on the bunk base. It's a bit more fiddly, but it works well.

What if the join in the pieces does not match the join in the locker lid, or if there is a strip along the front between lid & bunk edge that is less than a standard Froli module

Yes, could do, but as a mat it's easy to lift occasionally and wipe over the base.
