a paraqvane does not need weights

We have always made ours from 4mm plywood cut to shape of simple boat with holes drilled across board in line and holes drilled in stern to set to various depths little strip lead on underside of bow to tilt down into planing angle once you have a fish on angle of attack alters from fish weight and it all comes up to surface kids love it fish not so thrilled!

rogerboy----sorry haven t been back to thread-----yes 5 pound weights---would trail 2 +2 on out riggers----i have used paravanes but when you catch fish on them they rise but can also veer off a straight line which can end with a mess if your fishing multiple lines----regards lenten
