Dear All,

As my persistent search for the perfect (for me) Yacht continues, I have come across a trapper t30 on various websites. This seems to be different from the T300, in that the T30 is a 30' cruiser racer rather than a 26 footer. This boat was made around 1982.

I cannot find any reference to the t30, so much so, that I wonder if it is listed correctly....Obviously plenty of references to the T300

From the pics, I like the look of it, its the right size, shape and sail configuration for my tastes.... And would like to know more about these boats before I take the long drive down to see it.

I would like to know more..... have you sailed on one? do you know any more about them??????

Thank you for your help!

Trapper T28 designed by C & C ???

Sailed/raced on a Trapper 30 in the early 90's out of Hamble - Jemima Puddleduck (Jem could easily be a shortened version of that). I dont remember too much about her to be honest but definitely a 30 not a 300/500. If you want to know more PM me an email address and I'll pass it on to the ex-owner.

I have a trapper 28 (which is for sale btw), and it sails beautifully, very quick in light air (mine won class in rtir and cleaned up in local regattas, a bit short on interior space (although i lived on it for 18months as did a previous owner) and some of the construction is a bit crude. It was designed by C + C but the spade rudder was changed for something a bit more conventional by the builders in Poole. Very well mannered with excellent maneuverability, clean decks and low freeboard make working it very easy. Nice big cockpit.
