Train stations by the Thames

Hoping to spend Easter on Thames and have booked London Eye for Easter Sunday.
Don't want to rush and take boat down to tidal Thames so we are thinking of either Shepperton or Penton Hook as secure marina to leave boats all day.
We will not have cars there so need to get into London by train.Can anyone local to Thames tell me if stations at Chertsey,Staines or Walton are within walking distance of either of these marinas?

Chertsey and Staines Station are too far to walk from Penton Hook, but there are buses outside the marina to both stations.

Have you thought of mooring at Hampton Court ? Close to station or you could catch one of the trip boats down to Westminster (if they are running).

If you look at www.streetmap.co.uk it will help..when someone gives you directions...but ph+wm to far from stations for me to walk..dont like walking...

As Boatone says, Hampton Court is a better bet, the station is a stonesthrow from the bridge.

Thanks everyone.Have done a bit of searching on line and found bus details to Staines and train info from Staines to Waterloo.Sounds good unless anyone has any better ideas?!!
