...a couple of threads here, in the slightly altered words of a late comedian (of sorts) "not necessarily in the best possible taste". They're gone, no repeats please (and for anyone wondering what disappeared, it really wasn't that fascinating).

Why is it I get the impression that the weather is now so cold, in the UK at least, to have stopped play out on the water and hence, the flow of angst/pleasure/puzzlement that arises from a decent bit of boating?

Urgent fix required from those of you based in sunnier climes...

Too bloody right I should

She never fails to get in touch with me (wherever she may be, bless her!), to tell me when West Ham 'haven't done as well as they should have' - which isn't THAT often - so I feel it only right a proper that I should return the compliment ;-)

Re: I only try and help

Thanks Byron, my day is already destroyed with out the lovely (on the notice board) Paulineb. I just inform you of West Ham scores, I can't help it if they loose.

Re: sunnier climes

Sorry Kim, can't help because I only upset people if I tell them it's 27C on our patio and that's very warm for this time of year. We'll be doing a short overnighter tomorrow - Tampa Bay/St Pete area for dinner, then anchor out somewhere. Got to get a last cruise in before we drive to cold Atlanta for Crimble with kids/grandkids. Oh, I forgot to mention that we are going to Sarasota SAILING club for drinkies and some kind of Irish entertainment this evening. Not many blazers there, I suspect, more like T-shirts, shorts and sandals/boat shoes.

Re: sunnier climes

We've just been looking for boat chartering in your area, out from Sarasota for a week at Easter 2002. What's the weather like then, what's the boating like (we're looking at a Grand Banks), is there any diving, are the kids going to like it, can y ou recommend anywhere great we can visit etc.etc. I would be grateful for any hints tips chart suggestions or someone we can call. Thanks
