That was already debunked after Bouba's pic of spring rolls and other chinese junk food. 
The above burger, while still very far from what I'd call a decent meal, is already an improvement, sort of.
Oh, and don't get me started on the drinks: give me the worse Italian wine rather than coke any day of the week!

Beware of beach restaurants, anywhere in Italy.
We use to call them tourist traps, because no Italian (and I mean NONE) would rate the location above the food quality, when going out for dinner.
Mind, this doesn't mean they are bad.
Just that usually, the best restaurants are somewhat more "hidden".
