THOSE OF US WITH BOATS IN THE MED

After tempting fate by predicting that next weeks weather will be perfect, the forecast has done a complete one eighty. It’s now going to be miserable with strong winds ?
It really peeves me off because I get one chance per year of doing twenty knots and that is as soon as it is launched. By the time the forecast improves I’ll have two knots of slime on my hull.
You don’t need to be in a hurry to come to the Med

More political bollox and conjecture. Surely better to stick to boating topic.
Ah I seem to woken up a few sleepwalkers :)

I did via “ conjecture “ predict on this thread the 15 th opening ....if you care to review the thread .
Afraid the geo politics in there entirety are intertwined with the OP s premise of when ( due to lockdown) med boaters are going to see there boats .

Thought I would have got a pat on the back for seeing that .

More a kick in the bollox. Keep this crap where it belongs, somewhere on the Lounge.

Go to page 25 ....yes 4 th May and see what I did .........I shared my “ conjecture “ and rational behind those decisions .You can’t do that blind to the geo political situation.
I have even referenced the info here several time’s ( goto news ) SchengenVisaInfo.com
And 6 weeks later da da !
This thread was about lockdown and Med access .
Ok it’s friendly and amusingly drifted about a bit ....even which preferred cars to tackle Fr motorways etc as just one example .We did not go off to a car forum with that , it was a nice none boaty distraction ....but by and large we collectively have correctly returned to Med boat access so what it ! its a forum .

Come on down the water is fine!

So this morning we left Germany for our boat in France. Crossed the border at 5am and no sign of any restrictions. 10 hours door to port and saw gendarmes at one toll station. Not interested in us and customs at one other, again not interested in us.

France officially opens it’s borders on Sunday night at midnight and self isolation is advisory and not compulsory. I think read into this too hard to actually police.

Big boat clean tomorrow !

Looks like Spain is opening up early-just seen an announcement that the president has said they will open the borders as of 21st June and not 1st July......lets hope us Brits are included ??

Weather not looking too good though

Doesn’t look too bad to me. Can’t for life of me figure out why the picture is inverted or how to fix it.

There was a time I thought you were a decent fellow. Just goes to show you can never tell

We, the mob, here in Wales are still languishing on the hard praying the First Minister delivers us some good news on Friday. We are not expecting any though

Good morning all. Just noticed this thread so I thought I would pop on and say hello to those here. We are in Gozo Malta and launched Popski (Antares 30fly) a couple of week ago now but the high winds here have been so bad that it’s impossible to take her out. I am interested in knowing how other marinas orotund the med are dealing with Covid and if it’s now business as usual. Malta has not really shut down and the Mgarr Marina has been accessible without difficulties and right now the government has announced that the pandemic is behind us and the only second wave will be at sea. I have my own view on this message but perhaps not the right forum for that. Anyhow I hope everyone will at some point enjoy the 2020 boating season and good luck
